The Collection
The Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum houses almost 10,000 artifacts, including three-dimensional objects, textiles, photographs, and archival documents. Our mandate is to obtain articles relevant to the communities and individuals of Carleton Place and of Beckwith County. We obtain all of our artifacts by the generous donation of individuals in the community.

Our environmentally-controlled Collections Storage Area contains all objects not currently on display. All artifacts, photographs and archival material are being entered into a database, enabling staff and volunteers to easily locate objects.

Textiles and other delicate items are stored in acid free containers
We have an extensive photographic collection at the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum.
We also have a small collection of military artifacts including uniforms, military kits, and also medals of honour.
